Employee PCA On Demand Instructions

Hello and thank you for your interest in PCA On Demand! With PCA On Demand, you will be able to connect with people who receive services from our agency that need a temporary or long-term replacement. This email contains instructions to help you get started.

Here’s how it works: Recipient’s request PCA services using the app, and caregivers with a complete profile, and who match the job criteria receive a push notification that the shift is available. If a caregiver accepts the shift, they receive directions to the service location. Then, caregivers use the app to sign in and out, and record the activities they performed. After the visit, caregivers and recipients use the app to sign and send the time entry to the agency for processing.

Step 1: Sign in;

To sign in, use your username and password. If you forget your username or password you can reset it, or you can get that information from your home care agency.

Step 2: Complete your profile;

Once you have logged in, you will need to complete your profile before you can view available shifts. Take a profile picture, and put as much information as you can to let recipients know about you and your qualifications. It can be difficult to ask for help, especially from someone you don’t know. By including more information about yourself you can “put recipients at ease” so they can feel comfortable in asking for help from a stranger. Select as many counties as you are willing to work in to see more shifts. If you only select one county, you will only see the jobs available in that county.

Step 3: Find and accept shifts;

To view available shifts log into the app and push the find shifts button. You will be taken to the find jobs screen. From there you can see a list of the available shifts waiting to be filled. Select any shift request to view details about that request or to accept the shift.

Step 4: Getting directions;

To get directions to the service location, log into the app and press the view shifts button, then push the directions button. You will receive directions to the job location.

Step 5: Starting and ending your shift;

To start your shift, select the shift, then select the begin timesheet button. You will be redirected to the timesheet app and may be prompted to sign in again. If you are sign in using the same credentials, then click Time In. You will be asked to enter you anticipated shift length, and the timer will begin to run. When your shift is complete, open the app, sign in and select the Time Out button. Review the shift summary screen and click the next button. Select the activities you completed and click next.

Step 6: Completing, signing, and sending timesheets;

Once you have signed in and out and reviewed the shift summary, you will need to review the timesheet. Review the timesheet then click the add signature button to sign the timesheet. The recipient may sign on the workers device or on their own device. After the recipient signs the timesheet will be transmitted to the agency for processing.

Optional: Cancel an On-Demand visit;

To cancel a shift after you have accepted, log into the app and press my shifts button. Select the shift you want to cancel and push the cancel shift button.
